Now that you are mid-way through the Macbeth play, you should have a sense of character traits, perhaps character flaws, that affect main characters in the play. What words would you use to characterize Macbeth? Lady Macbeth? Explain your choices.
Now that we are mid-way throufgh the Macbeth play, we have gotten to know the characters of Macbeth and Lady Macbeth better. Words that would be used to describe Macbeth would be ambitious, brave, courageous, confused, paraniod, and frightened of his power as the new king. Words to describe Lady Macbeth would be crazy, superstitious, dauntless, controlling, and will stop at nothing to get what she wants. Macbeth is a play that contains suspense, and will want you begging for more.!
i would describe macbeth as a traitor to the king, for he betrayed and killed him. I would describe lady macbeth as a malicious, crazy person without any morality. Also, doesn't she have her own name?
Macbeth would have been a good person but his wife, Lady Macbeth, made him into a tyrant that only cares about himsel and does terrible deeds and crimes. He became overcome with power so he started doing bad things himself but Lady Macbeth. But Macbeth should have stopped doing the bad deeds. Lady Macbeth has always been bad at her core, but held on to it until there was a chance for Macbeth to become king. She had to much ambition and started the person that is Macbeth now. When Macbeth becomes more devios than her, she starts to get worried.
Macbeth is nervous and eager-to-please, as he murdered King Duncan much to Lady Macbeth's desire and was nervous before, during and after the murder. Lady Macbeth is evil anddevious, always scheming murders and plottting. Together they're and interesting couple. -Ashley Keiger :)
Macbeth could be described as being fearful and worried because he is regretful of the murders he did. He also could be described as overconfident because he is willing to do anything and believes nothing will happen to him. Lady Macbeth could be described as cruel because of her thoughts and actions toward killing and violence. She is slightly worried by Macbeth and his worries and new interest in violence. ~Mandy Cimino
In the position that Macbeth is in right now, he is being a very bad boy. But in general he is a good person. The only reason he is being a bad cookie is because of his dumbfounded wife. She is the one that caused all the trouble. Now, Lady Macbeth is not the best person to ask for advice if you know what I mean. The only thing she ever wants is power and she will do anything to get it. But now, she is backing of a little because Macbeth is turning more and more evil every day and she doesn't want him to blow their cover that they killed Duncan.
I think that Macbeth is a little careful and guilty at first but once Lady Macbeth encourages him, he goes on kind of a killing spree. At first this doesnt affect him but soon, he starts to go crazy. For example, once he finds out that Banquo is dead, he starts to see his ghost, and it drives him crazy. Now that Banquo is dead, he wants to kill everyone that is a threat to his postion as king. Next, he wants to kill Macduff, but that shows how persistent he is. Lady Macbeth is a power hungry queen who wants to be incharge, with no heart.
I think that Macbeth is really a kind person and very religious, but he is very easy to control. Like for example when he murdered the king, he was shaking and considered himself "unholy". Lady Macbeth is more like the opposite. She likes being the "ruler" and she likes to do anything just to get what she wants.
Macbeth is a big pushover. He is controlled by Lady Macbeth, and is a little insane. Lady Macbeth, however, likes control. She thinks for herself and controls a part of Macbeth. Also, she is sort of a psychopathic freak.
For Macbeth:Weak, troubled by his conscience, vey ambitous and murderous. He s lead to evil by the witches' prophecies and his wife. His obsession over kingship shows a certain kind of egotism. For Lady Macbeth:Very ambitious, yet she lacks the good morals that her husband has. Or should I say had because of her greedy self-benefiting intentions. Also, to achieve her ambition, she rids of herself of any kindness that might stand in the way. For example, she goads Macbeth to kill King Duncan when Macbeth hesitates. ~Nikita
From where we are now in the story "Macbeth", charachterization is very obvious. -Macbeth is a very gullable man who is a complete push over. Instead of working out issues or things that may confuse him, he finds completely eliminating the person from Earth is the correct answer. He is easily influenced and pushed around by his evil wife, which brings us to the subject of Lady Macbeth. -Lady Macbeth is a very cunning and independent woman. Her masculanity and power is that of a man yet she still carries the feminism of a woman. She has a very powerful influence on her husband and controls and forces him through most everything he does. She is a very dramatic charachter and is great at plotting in ways no one would ever expect from an "innocent woman"
In Macbeth, the two main characters are Macbeth and Lady Macbeth. To characterize these characters is easy. Macbeth is a suspicious, devious, and uneasy person. He is sometimes not sure of what to do in some situations. Lady Macbeth on the other hand is very wise. She got herself out of being blamed for the murder. She is also helpful. She helped Macbeth when he went paranoid. She comforts him
Now that we are half way through macbeth we get to know who the characters really are. Macbeth is easily pushed around and told what to do, mean, and very suspicious. Lady Macbeth is very ordering and controling, crazy, and yet wise. Lady Macbeth is wise because she made a plan to kill Duncan and have no one suspect that it was them. Macbeth is crazy too because at a dinner of his he sees a ghost and starts to yell at it as if the ghost were really there.Their actions affect the play a lot because since macbeth was frightened he sent out murder and Lady Macbeth sometimes tries to comfort him at his worst.
Now that we are half way through the book the characters are all suspicious of Macbeth and his wife Lady Macbeth. They are all worried about this mean tyrant in the throne that got here through murders.
Since we are done with Macbeth, we know Macbeth and Lady Macbeth a lot better. Lady Macbeth used to be greedy for power as a queen. Now she is a crazy person filled with guilt. This is a result of her want for the throne. Macbeth used to be a kind and humble. Now he could be described as bloodthirsty and greedy because Lady Macbeth persuaded him into killing for power.
I think that Macbeth started out loyal and trustworthy. Also, he seemed determined to do whatever necessary for his country. Everything seemed to go okay until a disease seized Macbeth's mind...power. Lady Macbeth was power hungry and crafty in the play and then guilt finally struck her. Now, Macbeth has a lot of blood on his hands and he is even more power hungry. Both Macbeth and lady Macbeth had evil in their minds and started to get over confident in themselves. These two characters changed frequently throughout the story.
Macbeth is strong on his times at the beggining. Now he has grown weak and scarred. He has terrible hilutionations. One for instance is when he saw Banquo's ghost at the feast. On the other hand, Lady Macbeth is much more mighty than Macbeth. She said that she would kill her own son if that ment Macbeth would be king. She would always get frustated with Macbeth because he would always wimp out or back down from something. Then his wife, Lady Macbeth, would push him to do it.
I don't like Macbeth, story and character. The only intereseting characters to me personally are Lady Macbeth and the porter because they are fabulous and that's their simple request. I personally think that Macbeth is a traitor/loser and his wife is just fly like a G6. The porter is just glamorous like Stacy Ferguson. Lady Macbeth is pretty pushy, like a push pop (to Macbeth).
I would discribe Macbeth as obsessed with being in power and anyone who tries to take that away from him or knows his secret will totally die. Lady Macbeth is a total crazy creepo and she really scares me! She's really hard on Macbeth and that's just why he is going crazy!!
i think macbeth is a good person but but was almost taken over by his wife and then was turned into a bad person. but he will always feel guilty for what he did
Macbeth is going crazy and at first he was really brave and he didn't want to kill Duncan, but Lady Macbeth was more evil and she wanted to kill him because she was powerhungry and she was powerfull over her husband and convinced her to kill Duncan. At the end, it was kind of changed around. Lady Macbeth was really guilty but they were both insane.
Macbeth is scared and lady macbeth is being a big bully. she is pushing macbeth around like he is her dog or something. she is evel compaired to all of the other caraters. macbeth dosn't realy know what to do with his powers but lady macbeth dose for shurly. so thats what i think about lady macbeth and macbeth.
I think if I was asked this question before we did the vocabulary sheet, I would say Macbeth had a conscience inside of him, but had a negative one outside of him, which is his wife. He's a little paranoid sometimes too. Also, Lady Macbeth is completely heartless. But, now that I've learned new vocabulary words, I'd say that Macbeth is an evil tyrant, is fruitless in his wife's eyes, and was forced to be malice by his wife. Lady Macbeth is dauntless, lacking allegiance, and loves feeling predominant.

Macbeth:Traitor, because at first macbeth is good, but then he goes crazy because of his wive.
ReplyDeleteLady Macbeth:Psychopath, because as the ploay proggresses she slowly loses her mind
